ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Muskogee will receive sealed bids in the Office of the City Clerk at the Muskogee Municipal Building, 229 West Okmulgee, Muskogee, Oklahoma 74401, up to 2:00 p.m. on March 18, 2016 for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work necessary for:

Bidders must bid on all items of the contract. The whole work under this contract will be awarded as a single contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the work. No bid may be withdrawn for at least forty-five (45) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
Plans and Specifications are on file and can be seen and obtained at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, 229 W. Okmulgee St, City of Muskogee, Oklahoma, on payment of $50.00 per set, none of which is refundable. All checks shall be made payable to the City of Muskogee, P.O. Box 1927, Muskogee, Oklahoma 74402, (918) 684 6231.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bidder’s Bond, or Cashier’s Check upon any solvent Bank or Trust Company,
payable without reserve to the City of Muskogee, Oklahoma, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid security of the two low bidders will be retained until approval of contract and execution of satisfactory bonds by the successful bidder, or until other disposition on the bids is made.
The bonds required will be a Performance Bond, a Payment Bond and a Maintenance Bond, each in the full amount of the contract. The City will not accept letters of credit in lieu of any bond required herein.
On Projects exceeding $50,000, bids shall be accompanied by a sworn statement that the bidders are committed to the goal of at least 50% of all salaries paid to employees shall be to bona fide residents of the City of Muskogee and the bidders will comply with the provisions of City of Muskogee Resolution No. 2392 provides for the use of Local Labor and would be a 5% recognized reduction of the bid price although not a mandatory item.
A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 10:00 A.M, on March 11, 2016 at the Council Chamber Room 3rd floor at City Hall.
The bidder (Proposer) must supply all the information required by the bid and proposal form including completion of affidavits or his bid will be considered incomplete and therefore rejected.
The City may request of any bidder, before his bid
is considered for award, that he submit a statement of facts as to his previous exp erie nce in performing work of the same character and magnitude, as to his business and technical organization, and financial resources and plant available and to be use in performing the contemplated work. Each bidder must have such information, together with a recent financial statement, available upon request.
The City of Muskogee reserves the right to evaluate bids, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in any bid.
